So what do you think about the Texas race?
To me, I didn't enjoy it as much as some of the recent street races. I found it confusing. Maybe you can blame that one the TV announcers, I don't know. I think they need to back-off some of the tire degradation. Too much of a good thing can be bad.

I found it a bit boring as well. There was a bit of exciting racing here and there, but there were only 4 or 5 cars on the lead lap at the end.

Any race that Dario doesn't win is a good race.

To me it was a lot like last years race. Last year had that great drama only because Graham lost it coming the white flag which made it a truly memorable finish. A challenging race for the drivers constantly on the edge, so it wasn't side by side lap after laps like Texas of 10-15 years ago but then again some of the wrecks in pack racing have turned me off to needing this in races. Was a good race to have on while modeling - some action but you can pay attention to your build most of the time.
I was really surprised how off Rahal was but I figured it must be new team, etc except that Justin Wilson was also laps off the pace. What gives? Shows how hard it is to race!
Stu, did you go this year? Any luck with pit passes via IndyCar Nation?

My $.02. I guess that some thought the Texas race boring proves that Indycar is on the right track, and that NASCAR has had it right all along. While not as good a race as many, I saw more racing at Texas than at any other race this year, except for the last few laps at Brazil. Notice, I said racing and not passing. I saw Indy both from the North Vista, and TV, and the only side by side action I saw resulted in a crash. To me, the side by side racing is what Indycar should be all about. It seems that my kids are correct, and that I have become a dinosaur. Take Care Craig

Just for the record - I did enjoy the race. A variety of challenges among the different races in a season appeals to me. I also liked this not being a draftfest.

I enjoyed the race. What I can't figure out is why Marty Reid is allowed to announce IndyCar. He can't even keep the drivers straight. I can see mixing up Dario and Dixon when both are in red Target cars but Dario's was black(Detroit). He also called RHR Castroneives several times. Yellow and black are pretty hard to confuse. Then when they showed Dario's green car at Texas he said he looks like that other guy in the green car and stammered around for a minute until he finally came up with Hinchcliffe's name.

I don't care for any of the announcers. NBC Sports is much better.
