Man, so sorry Calvin that you have this thing. I will never complain about my bad right knee again... Stu When I was at my worse time I would of took broken arms and legs over it any day. Its more of a handicapping disease than some that is actually handicap. Its HORRIBLE! Since I've been feeling better, I'm starting to realize how bad I really was. There was a time (as most know) I had a very hard time just getting on the computer! I was mainly stuck in bed or the stupid bathroom 24/7. I wont go into too much detail but there was times I had to go to the bathroom 30+ times a day, and it was painful and bloody. Uh yeah, I've had bad IBS and it can be mis-er-able. But this is multiple times worse. All I can say is I'm so glad I have loving mom that is very smart IMO when comes to health care, because if I din't there is absolutely no doubt I would have a date with the Grim Reaper! and I would of a RIP under my avatar on this forum! LOL

Oh and for the DW12, I'm just toughing it out and scratch building the suspension, I'm just going to fiddle with until it looks right!

Little by little it comes along.... I'm currently working on rear suspension layout and how I'm going to make it work for the kit. Feel free to give your opinion on my work. If you dont then we might end up with a inaccurate kit! Remember what I've said in the past, I'd rather have good looking car than worry about hurt feelings!

Calvin,
Looking good! Thanks for doing a 1/25 scale of the DW12. I'll be watching this and waiting to get a copy.

I decided to take a different approach on the front wing. The way I had it before was just not working and was not going to work to well from a kit point of view or a mold point of view. Now the whole wing will just fit into the notch under the front part of the nose. The nose on the DW12 sure is long! It almost seems too long! I guess without the wing or the front wheels in the way makes it look longer?

The beauty of body work! Not Bodywork but Body Work! I usually dont take pics of un-primed surfaces but I thought it would be good to show what places I've been working on!

Enough room in there for a driver figure? Looks like it...barley. Thanks for bring that up! It actually helped me see some problem areas on the car by throwing this junky Herta figure in there! LOL

When i was in High School for my senior Project i carved a 2003 Bentley lmp out of wood in 1/10 scale. I got a 97% because i used bondo in areas. Then after awards someone stole it.
Looks great so far!

Not sure if these will be useful, but here are a few shots of the back end a buddy shot at Indy. Funny, my spotter radios are sitting on the shelf in this picture. I spotted for Ana.

Just thought I would give an update. This weekend I worked on the top part of the nose/cockpit area and I like it way better and a whole lot better.....I'll take a pic later when its easier to see it.
BTW I'm liking how the my scratch built suspension parts are coming along, its been just a lot "fiddle faddle" work with those darn things.

Just an idea but you should pick up one in 1/18 scale to help with the suspension n stuff. When your done, you could just sell it off.

I know what I need to do, its just replicating them is what is a pain in the donkey butt! I can do it but its just a pain.....kinda like making windscreen bucks - its just a pain - not impossible - just not fun!

I had taken these photos at the Dallara factory early this year with the intent to share them with you guys. I forgot I had them. Hope they help anyone wanting to fabricate the speedway rear wing. Wow! That is great! Thank you!

There is still something not right around whole nose area? Hummmm....I really need to primer it and then look again.....with all the different colors going on it makes my eyes go crazy!
But I do think I'm heading in the right direction when comes to those darn side pods.....sculpting out this new car has been quite the patience marathon!

Calvin, You have amazing eyes ! You take a glop of putty and a block of wood and PRESTO-ZINGO you have a current Indy car. I'd crap-out and not finish what I started if it was me . Amazing!! Patrick
