Thanks, Calvin! I'd love it for you to be able to make it one of these years. Hard to believe, but this will be my 33rd!

Missing this year and I am totally bummed. I had knee surgery last week.
Would have been my 18th time. (1987-1996), (2006-2012)
Have fun everyone at the Memorabilia Show and here's hoping it's a great race!

I would like to add; Have a safe time, enjoy the cool weekend with family, friends, and racing. As I normally say, I got up this morning, have my health, family, a good job, and my choice of religion. Everything else in the world is small stuff.
I've been to the Brickyard races a few times, but one of these days I'll venture over for the 500 (always wanted to)....
I like the suggestion of providing pictures for us couch benders unable to make the journey.

Right back at ya Calvin. The weather won't be so great here in western WA, but that won't stop us from BBQ and a day watching racing. We have a tradition of going to my son's place and watching Monaco and then the 500. One of my favorite times of the year. Those of us who can't be there envy you who will be. Have a great weekend everyone!

It was a good one!
We pulled into our spot about 11 Friday night and were up gabbing with the people we see once a year til almost 2. Then up early for a great Legends Day. Watching the roadsters go three wide into 1 was amazing. The only downside of the day was the line to meet Parnelli being cut off only three people in front of me!
It was good to see Michael and Lazierfan at the mem show, and to meet indydog. I spent way too much money there and around the track that day! But it's all good.
Our view of the action was great. And contrived due to specs or not, the skill on display was amazing, from the drivers to the crews and everyone involved. I only saw one wheel put wrong on a pitstop all day. Just about a flawless race. And best of all, safe!
