This should be a quick conversion of a rare and expensive slot car body from Germany. It is a Ditech 1/24 resin body that I got from the entrepreneur of Corner % Hobbies (our own Kurchek)...  I started with a sheet plastic under liner that would fit inside the body...  I am going to use suspension/wheel/tires parts from a Wave Tyrrell 019. I'm unsure on the transaxel, a Weismann unit, yet   More to follow. Patrick |

What an interesting project. We all know you can build something out of almost nothing so I'm excited to see what you can do with such a nice and clean starting point. Are you modding the resin body at all?

::)Duh on the date! The body will remain closed...no engine detail this time. I must catch up on the unfinished projects, but couldn't resist adding another Brabham to the stables!

Ya Calvin...it's so righteous! Well, an AMT Indy car offered the suspension and trans, the wheels and tires from the spares box...  the driver's seat is a reject from a diecast car which I'll put a carbon fiber decal on...  Looks like everything except the wings!  I'm getting some decals from Mike Quarterman of Motor Racing Replica News fame! I love this car! Thanks Corner 5 Hobbies!!! Patrick |

Yes, Mike is Umi. I've known Michael for about 30 years now. As to the availability of this slot body by Ditech...check with Trevor at Corner 5 Hobbies. He might know.

Back to this...Well, soon my Fotki account will be back on line, but until then...I got the body/chassis pan painted and need to find some carbon fiber decals...where? I need a black carbon fiber. Suggestions?
