New guy from NY here

Hello forum,

This site kept popping up in my search results as I've been learning about the various open wheel kits available in 1/25 scale, so it must be the place to be!

I'm 39 and am an old NASCAR fan from the '80s/'90s. I also watched open wheel races when I could on TV back then, so my favorite era for CART & F1 would be the late-80s/early-90s. I also like anything Ferrari F1.

I build cars for their aesthetics, not for drivers or wins. If I like the way it looks, it earns a spot in the build queue. I've only ever built one Indycar kit - the AMT Pennzoil Penske Z-7 back when it was released. I now have a decent stash of 1/20 F1 & 1/25 CART kits that I need to whittle away at.

I recognize scalecentral, Indy & Shunter from the Randy Ayers board (where I go by Matt T.) and Indycals has taken some of my money over the past few months!

My latest project (a slow-co-build with Indy) is a Revell Reynard, box stock, with Speedline decals. After that, maybe an AMT March 88C or Lola T-8800.
