The Ayrton Senna Forum build section is open. All scales, all years, all media, and all manufacturers welcome. We encourage them to be open wheel builds but (gasp) aren't going to exclude fendered entries.
Bottom line, we want you to actively participate in enjoying the hobby that we all love. Get out and build!!
Forum build starts today, 5/1/2013, which is the 19th anniversary of that tragic day at Imola and goes to 5/1/2014 which is the 20th anniversary of his passing.

Maybe I'll draw a new Senna Piece Just for the Forum- Looking forward to it. Now you just need to find the moment you want to capture! I recommend watching the Senna movie for inspiration for the drawing. Heck, I just recommend it! Would be good for getting a guy (or gal) in the mood to model, too. Jordan

Since I have enough trouble finishing projects, I'm thinking about starting simple: I bought a set of IndyCals for this a while back and they are beautiful!! ;D Jordan

Haha, you understand me I hope to keep the level of my craziness down on this one.... hope... Still need to dig out the kit though. I have a few of these Heller Lotus kits stored away but I can't put my hands on any of them at the moment. Plus, can't find any on eBay either LOL Oh well, I'll figure something out. Jordan

I now can begin my project thanks to the excellent drawings David has produced. Did I say excellent? Well, they are beyond that...extremely detailed and accurate! Thanks David.

Well i've not really done anything amazing kit wise through the yrs but I have just ordered one of the deagostini [kyosho built] 1/8 MP4-4 senna cars so provided it arrives in time and I have the talent required [here's hoping I can make it stick] I think I might have to join in on this - first F1 race I ever saw was Imola 1994; would have been a replay given the time of the day (note I was 10yo) but I will never forget the emotion from the commentators.
Once everything is here I guess i'll have to start a thread but this will not only be the biggest project i've embarked on in terms of importance but also the sizing!!!
have also ordered the requisite carbon fibre and cigarette branding decals from Museum Collection to fully complete this

drtumbo, are you saying you have the 1/8th scale 1988 McLaren Honda, complete, all 65 issues of that magazine ? I believe that was the only way to acquire this model, was to get all 65 issues of the magazine, thats impressive! That model is worth about $2,000 USD looking on ebay. Sure it's not amalgam quality, but Kyosho is still good, and 1/8th scale, is HUGE!. Post some pics if you can please, I'd love to see the parts and the decals. You could probably even use a 1/8th scale minichamps '88 senna helmet to add some detailing to it

I've bought the complete 70issue release from Japan [haven't seen a complete one on evilbay just the first part] more rare than the mp4-23 [which was 65 parts] and the bonus gift for this one was a 1/8 figure ! Ended up less than $2K and will happily post pics. Not Amalgam quality but less than 1/4 of the price so !
