Hi Everyone! Love this site! Just wanted to let you know of new open wheel show on Indy 500 weekend. Being an open wheel collector & many sports fan this sounds good. Open Wheel Collectibles & sports memorabilia expo @ Indiana State Fairgrounds. Here is link I found; www.owcshow.comI will be selling my stuff at show and probably buy or trade too. I would love to know everyone's favorite driver & why. Mark Donahue & Davey Allison. Great skills @ driving who died too young.

Welcome Joy! It's hard to pick a favorite driver, but I'd have to put Peter Revson and Jim Clark near the top. Clark for his humility while being dominant for so long and Revson because I don't think he ever got the true recognition he deserved. He was never able to shake the rich playboy label and just be recognized as a great driver. But having said that there are many others that I could name too. Donohue being one. Again welcome.

Rick Mears. Saw him win Indy in '84 the week before I turned 7. Never stopped rooting for him. Since he's retired, there still hasn't been one that quite captured my adoration the way Rick did.

Thanks for welcome. Great drivers mentioned and fan of each mentioned. Revson brought up memories & Clark, well that was one talented driver. Rick Mears pick is classic. I wonder if he still signs name with smilie face? When they drove, those cars were not driver friendly to legs & feet.
