I'm interested in the history of automobile racing, especially Millers and Novis. I started going to races in the mid 60s and raced FV from 75 to 81, mostly at Nelson's Ledges and Mid-Ohio. If this link works it will take you to 48 pictures of a Miller 91 FWD taken at the 2011 Glenmoor Gathering. smg.photobucket.com/user/midpoint/library/?page=1#/user/midpoint/library/?page=1&_suid=136463055115606760865298873002This was one of the cars Grif Borgeson found under a dust sheet at the Bugatti factory when he went to cover the bankruptcy sale. It is currently on display at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum.

Welcome from another Buckeye. I feel like I spent my early adult life at Mid Ohio, time well spent.

Welcome, John. I went to Indy the first time in 1946 just in time for the new Novi. I followed them all the way through the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Bill Jorgensen has done some great resin models of the 40s and 50s versions and Lance Sellers has done the 60s so you might want to look for those if you are interested. Bill has also done some of the early Millers. As John said, Gary Doucette has done several of the 1930 Indy winners. I am working on Floyd Roberts' 1938 winner right now. Glad you found us. Enjoy the forum. Jim

Great to have you here. I have a friend that used to race Formula Vee's at Nelson Ledges among other venues.

Chesapeake Lady is a 427 block. There is a class for antique hydros and she is raced all over the midwest. The pic was taken in the Painesville, Ohio town square where folks from the area bring their cruizin' cars on Friday evenings. Gordy and Debbie are great folks and show up every week with her Corvette. Gordy brings the hydro up once or twice a year.
If your friend raced Vees from 75 to 81 I probably knew him.
