Hey Guys...

If one can rant, one should also be able to thank...

Thanks to all of you and your kind words over my projects. The last few years have been very difficult for me as a whole. Getting sick and losing the use of my right hand has been a real pain in the .....asstronomical region.

There have been many times I got out to my work bench, sit down and look at what sits before me and I think...."What's the use...." And I stare at it. Lance Seller's Novi deserves a much better builder than I am currently, but there it sits. mine to do.

So I go to my office and get on line and see what you craftsmen are doing and I get inspired again, and try to do something on it. Well, last night while with the USC/Cal game on in the background, it started to look something like a race car. I should have it finished soon after months of trying to....

All I can say to you guys is.......THANKS!

How about some pictures while it is a WIP? That way we can see the progress as you head to the finish line. We inspire you? It works the other way too. You inspire us with good feedback and kind words.

Just keep hangin' in there. You have been and continue to be an inspiration to all of us who want to model Indy Cars. I for one have really appreciated all the things you have posted on this board and all the personal help you have given me since I became a member of this board. I can't wait to see that finished Paul Russo Novi!!!

don't forget you are our "fearless leader"!
without you and some of the other great people on this board i wouldn't be as interested in building these old indy cars. knowing that people with the same interests are so helpful as well is really inspiring!
years ago i purchased a lot of old mrm mags mostly for the articles on stock cars but recently i've been going through all of them again with a different need and have found your articles really helpful and informative!
one hand or two, we're really glad you're able to contribute in any way you can.
hopefully modeling will help that hand get better!

The models here and especially your's Russ have been nothing short of inspiration and encouragement to start building my favorite racers- Indy Cars. Being part of the group and learning techniques, history and chatting with the members and whats available from the manufactorers like Bill Jorgensen, Lance Sellers, Mike at Indycals, Dr Dave and others have made the months since joining the most enjoyable modeling time I've spent. Thanks to YOU, Russ! Your help in acquiring some long sought-after kits was really appreciated and your help with colors and details is invaluable. Don't give up on your modeling, please keep plugging away. Hopefully we can chat again soon, it's been too long!
