How would I convert the 1/20th Tamiya McLaren M23 to the Luckee Str!ke version? Would I just need an airbox? Where can I get the airbox?

Off the top of my head, airbox, nose, front suspension, rear wing, rear wing support, rear wing endplates all need to be changed, in addition to cutting off the side pod extensions. Probably more than that too.

Do you mean the Dave Charlton M23 from 1974 Kyalami, SA? If that is the car... then the 1/12 Tamiya Texaco M23 might be a good starting point.

Any reference pics available for either Lucky Strike/Charlton car or the Gunston Lotus? I really like building obscure cars, but I sometimes get stymied on references!

I Googled (images) "McLaren M23 Lucky Strikes". Before I did this I had never heard of Dave Charlton and I had never seen this particular car (markings). I did notice a Chesterfield sponsored M23 driven by Nelson Piquet. The Piquet car could be done using a 1/20 M23.

Brett Lunger also drove a McLaren M23 with L&M , Lark, and Chesterfield Sponsorships on them, All cigarette sponsors.
