Asking here is a good place - several decal artists around.
Nice to have you here - great work and we'd love to see what you've done before and watch your builds come together. There is too much work in this to not appreciate it along the way.

Welcome. One of the members of this forum is the owner/producer of Indycals which are first rate. Hopefully, he can help. Jim

Hi: I finally seem to have figured out how to participate in this forum. I'm a 75 year old retired mechanical engineer and have resumed car modeling after a 50 some odd year hiatus. I build vintage sports and racing car models from scratch - mostly brass and copper. I work in 1/18 scale. My eyesight isn't good enough for anything smaller! The picture shows my most recent effort - the 1921 French Grand Prix winning Duesenberg. I have a Taig microlathe for making wheels, tires and whatever else is round. As you can see from the photo, I need help in finding decals for models this size. The numbers are handpainted and show it. The American flag is a 48 star decal intended for military models, but too small for this car. Can someone give me leads as to how I might solve this problem?

Thanks for the kind comments. I seem to be showing my age and relative computer ineptness, but I can't seem to figure out how to post another post with additional pictures. Also, the picture I originally posted, when enlarged, is so huge as to spoil the appearance of the model. I'm using a Mac with iphoto. For those of you interested in seeing some of the details of how I build my models, for now you can google "Herb Miska Car models" You'll come across some pictures originally posted on the Hemmings Motor News blog.

GREAT MODEL......love the old 20s-60s open wheel racers, especially those raced at IMS. please, post some more pics of your other work. you are a Master Modeller!

Excellent model! The nice thing about the larger scale is you can be more detailed too!
My favorite era if Indy models!
Keep up the posting!
