Raffle Winner

Back in May this Board had a contest /raffle picking the 2012 Indy 500 winner. Here is one of the prizes completed. Be advised it’s probably 25 years since I built my last model and so this PC17 doesn’t remotely compare to some of the incredibly great builds I see posted on this Board. I had a lot of trouble; seems to me good masking and painting are 80% of what makes a nice model. But this was a fun challenge and I’m thinking about building more.

Looks awesome to me! 25 years is a long break to take and for the kit to turn out so well is outstanding! Build more! The more you do the more the passion grows.

I always wanted to do the all white qualifying version of this car. Sullivan had crashed that week breaking his arm and destroying the primary car. He qualified an all white car with the same decals. As a joke the crew posed for the qualifying picture with all their right arms in a sling.

A nice way to come back into the hobby *the PC17* a very nice build of a solid plastic kit. Great way to contribute to the board.
