I haven't had much luck in my search for a schudoled Izod Indycar Drivers Autograpgh Session in St. Pete. I would appreciate any info or insight you guys may have as for this years schedule or what they have done in the past.
Thanks...

I know nothing about St. Pete, but last year I gave in and joined Indycar Nation. It was 35 bucks and I got a years subscription to Racer with it (usually $45!) At Sonoma there was an opportunity for autographs, but the highlight was standing at the bottom of the steps of the drivers intro stage and greeting every driver. Also got a crazy lap in a Civic Si driven by a Indy Lights driver (don't know who, was too scared s***less to ask), plus a garage tour with Justin Wilson's brother, also a Lights driver.
At Fontana we had a private Q&A with first Hinch then Dario and Dixon. They were all fantastic and seemed very appreciative of the crowd (it was 108 degrees) . Dario waited and chatted with the crowd and signed autographs until no one was left. I really grew to like him that day.
Best 35 bucks I've every spent. Unless you include that time in an alleyway in TJ. Just kidding.
Anyway, a great way to be a bit of an insider and have a shot at some great access to the drivers.

On Friday the track is open to everyone with no seating assignment and the pit area is open to everyone. The drivers will mingle in and out and sign in front of there pit areas as well. Sometimes you can catch Team owners (AJ, Michael and Mario, etc,) They have signing areas setup after race day as well for free just have to wait in line.It seems to me last year they had signings on both Saturday and Sunday. Sometimes it was two tables so you had to pic and choose if timing is short but last year it was only one . They will post it in the schedule sheets but those come out late sometimes not until Saturday ( kinda stinks but oh well)
In 2008 I had a buddy call me and say he had courtesy passes to one of the teams for race day if we thought we could use them. I said sure, we were running late almost said forget it and went ahead and picked them up. When we got them we saw they were passes into Penske's tent the year Ryan Briscoe was welcomed by Roger and team drivers made a speech. We were at a table eating prime rib, all the food, drinks, beer and free programs while shooting great pics and videos. It was too much, great time!!
