if the interest is good, this could become a reality Attachments:

Very nice work on this so far. So this is 1/25 to be put in '86-89 AMT kits whether March, Lola, or Penske?

I like it! Does it come with a Mac Tools "Lone Star JR" decal sheet as well?

Mike, Very cool indeed. Great work. You got an estimated price tag? Rusty

Price will depend on if there's enough interest to have it cast in resin.

How about valve covers with a Chevy bow tie to replace the Ford logo on the Tamiya Lola's. Would that make sense?

My turbo offy on Shapeways is $49.99 - that would be the high end for 1/25 scale. (Probably wouldn't be that high). Doing it in resin would significantly lower the cost, but would need to sell.

What is a Cosworth 70/80 and what kit would it go in at 1/24 scale?

I would be interested in the Buick engine and a Chevy conversion of the Ford engine for the Tamiya kit ONLY IF THE REAR BODYWORK OF THE SUBJECT I WAS MODELLING REMAINS UNCHANGED (other than relocating the hole for the pop-off valve). I think that would be the case on the Chevy conversion.
Regarding the Buick engine for the Tamiya Lola, if I recall the bodywork is different. Is that the case on all the AMT kits as well?
I would be willing to pay about $20 max per engine/conversion

I'd be interested in 1/25 copy(s) of this. Normally, I do curbsides but I think this technology is really cool.

Any bodywork mods will be limited to relocating the popoff valve hole and maybe some sanding of the inside bodywork.

I would love to see you produce resin mirrors for 1/18 Lolas and Reynards. I think there maybe a market out there as there are a lot of diecast out there which are missing mirrors. Just my two cents.

I've seen people using XBOX connect as a laser scanning tool. You could laser scan any simple part like a mirror and translate it into a 3D shape for printing.

No one's done a kit for the '95 Lola though - just curbside resin and diecasts. Seen ppl convert '95's to do this car but they just add to the engine cover area instead of making it full detail.
This engine should pop right in to the Tamiya '93 Lola and the late '80's AMT kits. I'm in for one in 1/25 if it will help out Michael - it would be nice if they could stay under $20 like Stu said earlier.

Hey Michael, can I get the 'hole in bottom with a rod sticking out' aka: the 'ventilated option' Buick engine?

I have placed a deposit for 2 of the Buick engines and 2 of the Ford to Chevy engine conversions. Great stuff! Now I need to search your site for all possible decal options

Changed 5 of them in 4 days on the same car one May, 1991 I believe. One of them left the pits and made it to the junction of the warmup lane and turn 2 before it expired. There was no need to disassemble it because we could plainly see through the hole in the block. The oil tunnel had not be machined for the #6 cylinder. BANG!! I do not have fond memories of those, save for the sound.

Jordan I have made about 20 curbside 95 1/18 lolas and am trying to figure a way to mold the hump but its a pain.. i am finishing up one here soon that has been 6 months in the making. Diaper chancing and teething are really cutting into my model time I want to make a 1/20 lola buick/menard but the engine cover and roll hoop would have to be moved and relocated. I think i can make one but have no way to reproduce it on an affordable scale.
