1/18 70s Dirt Super Modified....

This car was built from the old GMP( ACME now) Vintage sprint car kit. I wanted to make a typical(if there ever was one) bolt on cage w/wing Supermod with the sprintcar chassis and body that was allowed to run in the late 60s early 70s.

About the build.....
The fabricated parts on this build are as follows....
< Complete roll cage
< Rebuilt the hood
< Full racing Harness w/ P.E. buckles
< Shocks...Front and Rear
< side,rear nerf bars.
< Front of body(nose) rebuilt and screened
< REAR wish bone suspension
< front suspension arms
< Wing end plates
< all gauges on dash with wiring and switches
< The Intake manifold was stripped from a chevy intake and made into ford.
< Injector bodies on intake
< Engine plumbed and wired
< Disc Brakes on rear along with wiring
< Decals made in house
I think that's about it... Here are a few pics of the finished car... Thank you for looking in...

Thanks John and Art... I remembered a few more things...The shocks for one...Dang..annnd...one of the most important things to the driver..Racing Harness....I didn't write all the things down as I went along and know I've got to look at it to remember...LOL

Phenomenal transformation. That's a long way from what GMP thought would end up on your shelf. Great job on the weathering, too, makes it that much more over the top.

Thanks Jordan. I think it's safe to say GMP wouldn't EVEN think this way. But...they did give us the platform to go in this direction.
