Does anyone by chance have any good pics of a Weismann Transverse from the 1982 Season?

Good question, I dont know what a 1982 Weismann Transverse looks like, thats why I'm asking. I have spec sheet of the 1982 Wildcat and it says it has a Weismann Transverse......id like to learn more about what transaxle was used in the 82 Wildcat as I want to make a accurate one for my Wildcat kit reissue.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Those are GREAT shots Lance! Thank you X 10000000+
The PC6 Trans is what is currently in my kit but I want to try to replicate the real thing and these pics help A LOT!
You can actually see the Weismann name cast into top.

This is from the 83 Wildcat, it used many of the same Suspension components as the 82, and possibly the same gearbox. Walt has access to an 83-84 Wildcat and may be able to help with more info.

The Weismann website says "In 1982, Gordon Johncock won his 2nd Indy 500, our 4th, and the 1st ever using a Transverse Transaxle. This transmission is a 4 speed evolution of the Brabham BT49 Transverse 5 speed designed specifically with aerodynamics and low center of gravity in mind." You might have better luck finding pics of that, though the pics Lance posted show how hard it is to see anyway.

I get a kick out of this pic. It gives a great idea of the sweep of the tunnel. I also like how they used thin aluminum for the belly pan as more less like a blanket bolted on the bottom of the engine/trans.

The Can-am cars website states the 83 Wildcat uses a Penske-Patrick or just a Patrick gearbox www.can-amcarsltd.com/car/1983-Wildcat-MK6-Indy-CarI am going down their next Monday if anyone wants I can probably take pics of transaxle on the 83, I know this conversation is about the 82 tb
