Thanks for sharing this. Real nice job fabricating the front end. I guess I need to try to buy the Miller book so I have some better pictures of these cars. Keep up the good work and let us see how it goes. Jim

Really fantastic work What a difficult era to research. Nice scratch building and making that rig to get it all right is impressive! Those wire wheels are beautiful!!! I always like these early 500 builds because I learn so much. I looked up his stats on the 500 website. Billy Arnold won 1930's 500 with 198 laps led (record) and from '30-'32 in this Summers / Miller / Firestone car led 410 of the 420 laps he ran. In '31 he started 18th but was leading by lap 7! Great work. Nice job on the front axle/suspension!
Billy Arnold has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Too bad his wife convinced him to retire after the 1932 race. No telling what he may have accomplished. As mentioned earlier he was absolutely dominant for a few years.

Excellent work!
I'm not familiar with kits by Gary Doucette, is this from EBay. I'd love to build a front wheel drive!

Once you buy a kit from Gary via e-Bay, he will provide his contact info so you can deal direct.

I really like all the attention to detail. What colors did you use? I have having trouble figuring out the right shade of gray for the body. Thanks for sharing. Jim
