I'm working on the Entex Tyrrell 003 and need info on the front suspension. I suspect that the Entex suspension is not quite right. It appears that the front track is way too narrow. I want to scratch a new suspension but I can't seem to find a good photo of the front arm mounting points. Can anyone help? Maybe a copy of the Tamiya 1/12 instructions showing the front suspension? In fact, I could really use a copy of the entire instruction sheet.
Thanks

EXCELLENT, just what I need! Looks like the arms in the Entex kit are even wrong but I think I can scratch new arms with the instructions. Not sure the kits worth it though.

I don't know if I ever posted this 1/25 Entex build and I can't even remember what I used for a suspension. I did find some 1/20 conversion decals once and they were the reason I did the car...driven by a South African named Eddie Kazan, I believe. Patrick

Sweet build Partick. Any idea what you used for the front tires? Some AMT Indy tires will work for the back but the fronts are a little too big.

Nice build Patrick. I used to grow Lucky Strike Cucumbers in my garden when I was a little kid.

If you look closely you can see the MPC crappy tires from the Eagle kit! I'm a cheap-wad and can't afford the resin ones. Please note...my research showed that the car ran with treaded tires like the MPC ones, not slicks. Slicks were almost on the scene. Almost. Thanks for the complements...not a bad body, but lacking slightly in accuracy. The 003 and flat nose Tyrrells did have varying wheel-bases.

Ok, I've started the mods to the front suspension. Here is what the kit parts look like OOB: As you can see, the lower arms are facing the wrong way and the track is WAY too narrow. I think Entex did that so those stupid tires they give you will fit. Also, the steering linkage is on the wrong side. Here is my modified suspension. I took the front track from 50mm to 63mm and turned the lower arms around. Still have to add the steering linkage.

Got the chassis mocked up. The engine is not attached, hense the support. I narrowed the rear suspension 10mm and lowered it 3mm. Not quite perfect, but close enough.
