Been looking at this one a lot lately - nice work on the paint. What did you use for the red?

Nice! I laid the red on and have been too intimidated to mask tospray the yellow on. Great job!

it looks good in pictures, however I know where it required some repairs and that did not come out as good and that is all I can see when I look at the model hoping the decals will cover it up! Attachments:

I used Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red and TS-16 Yellow. However I sprayed yellow first with red over that. Attachments:

Front wing is separate pieces so that was easy. Had trouble near the wind screen on the side of the tub and where the 'buck-eye' openings. Attachments:

Don't be afraid to color over dark colors. Sometimes it turns out ok. Had to do it on T.K.'s Lotus back cowling. It turned out great but you have to use real light coats till you get the yellow to match. This is about 4 or 5 light coats. I know the rule of thumb is dark over light but sometimes we don't have a choice.

Now that is a very nice looking car!!!!! Want to part with it? Just kidding, but I would like one for sure in RC configuration. With engine detail...........perhaps one day some company may be inspired to make it?

I've never seen this one done. It looks really really nice. Look at the wind screen, could not get it to fit the way it was there originally. Any tips on removing the wind screen?
