Now in Interlagos is the One Million Race Brazilian Stock Cars, with Tony Kaanan (out of the race), Helio Castroneves and Rubens Barrichello. Brazilian Stock Cars are tubeframe with fiberglass body, V8 engines and sequential gearbox. Bodies are Chevrolet Sonic and Peugeot 307. Rubens on box, pitstop, Alan Khodair is leading, Cacá Bueno can be the champion, 13 minutes to the end of the race, here now is 10:20 am. Cacá Bueno is son of a famous tv sport narrator that NOBODY here in Brazil likes. Ricardo Zonta also is racing, Helio is in 16th position, less than 4 minutes to the end. R$One million here is equivalent os US$500.000,00. Cheers. Alex.

Cacá Bueno is now the brazilian stockcar champion, he lead the race during few laps till stop without fuel in the last lap, this is his 5th championship. The winner is the same than last year, Thiago Camilo (i'm not sure). Cacá said that "money is just paper, the championship is forever". Brazilian Stockcars now is the most important championship here in Brazil, in the past were used Chevrolet Opala, with a 6 in line engine, the Opala was the first Chevrolet car produced here in 1969, braziliam GM only use to build pickups, trucks and a very ugly van called "Veraneio" or "C14". Opala is a car devivated from an Opel, the organizers changed to the GM Omega (the same that Opel Omega), and few years ago changed to tubeframe, v8 engine (imported from USA, since the end of the 80's no one v8 engine is produced here, and brazilian GM never produced a v8 engine here, only Simca in the 60's, and Ford and Chrysler). There were a Mitsubishi Lancer body, a VW Bora body, now only GM and Peugeot bodies, Goodyear tires. Alex
