I am using the AMT Agajanian kit for this and need help with a couple of things. The front axle is not right. What is the correct width? I would appreciate any suggestions about sectioning, etc. Next, remind me how to remove the chrome so I have bare, paint-able plastic. Thanks, Jim

Can't help you with the axle. Bleach or oven cleaner to remove chrome.

I've been using Formula 409 or Fantastic for years and it works great. A little less caustic so it might take a bit longer.

Soda caustic (or caustic soda), in flocs, dissolve in water, use gloves to avoid burn you hands. The effect is almost automatic, good to remove paint too. Here in Brazil i buy it in supermarkectings, or in shop of tools and construction materials. Keep it far from childrens and animals, the water with this you can use three times. ! Cheers. Alex
