Just wanted to introduce myself to all of you. Pylonguy refers to my interest in Air Racing, particularly the Unlimited Class. But I'm also a rabid fan of the Indy 500. I am interested in building 1/25 scale models of Indy Cars and I also have a strong interest in modelling of Grand Prix Cars. I really admire what I have seen on this board in looking around so that's why I want to become a part of it! My name is Tim Weinschenker and I live in the Detroit area.

Hi Tim and welcome to the group. It's a good bunch of guys that have a ton of Indy knowledge. I'm learned ( and still learning) a lot from them. We share an interest, air racing. Love those unlimited P-51's and Bearcats! Do you model racing planes? By any chance are you a member of the Racing & Record Aircraft Special Interest Group? All the best, Sandy

I have been a "Rare Bear" fan off and on over the years. Right now I'm a "September Fury" fan. This is because crew chief Bill Kerchenfaut has become a personel friend of mine. "Kerch" is a great guy who has worked on a lot of different planes over the years. He's been very generous in sharing technical information. So now it's whatever plane "Kerch" is on is my favorite! Rare Bear was my favorite for a long time though because I saw Lyle win his first race at Cape May. I was able to meet with him at John Tegler's house in 1973 and he was also and still is very nice! Have a great day! Tim
