Did anyone watch it? Dan Wheldon really charged through the field in the first few laps. So much for conservative! Tony Kanaan had it in the bag until that back marker spun in front of him. I was surprised the officials let him stay out as long as they did with the right front damaged like it was. It made the restart a little dicey in my opinion. It's also too bad about the Vision cars being penalizd after qualifying but they ran well in the race. I think Foyt IV may have finally found his calling. He had a few pretty good runs last season so maybe this year he can add to that. I'm not really a fan, I just like to pull for the underdogs. Was anyone surprised Milka Duno crashed? I was in the fact that it happened after lap 1.

Wife asked for a date night an hour before the race start. Thankfully I just cleaned off some TiVo space. Figured this is a good one to get a recording of since it's the first unified race since '95. ChampCar guys weren't showing well but I was more disappointed that no one helped Graham Rahal with spare parts... oh well I had the race on while I was on my computer but I didn't "watch" it much as I thought it was pretty boring and anything interesting was easy to again thanks to TiVo. Good to see Ryan Brisco running well - I never was impressed with him at TCGR before in Indycar but maybe he's matured. It stunk for TK but that's racing - it's never over until it's over. Surprised he stayed out but leading a lap is leading a lap. Kind of wished he'd have pulled onto pitroad on the restart. Even if he kept lapping via the pitroad he'd have been out of the way. Instead he was an accident waiting to happen. Was rooting for Helio at the end but Dixon was the best at the end - congrats to him and his team! Can't wait for St. Pete - will be interesting to see if the ChampCar guys can start moving up the grid on the roadies. Jordan
