I got a call from Gary Doucette tonight making sure that I saw his latest posting on ebay. Can you believe an all-new 1938 winner's kit! I missed this the first time around but am ordering two now. Gary said this is an all new kit with new molds and better castings. I think Floyd Roberts was one of the best pre-WWII drivers and am thrilled that Gary has done this. I hope you can join me supporting Gary, Lance, Bill, Michael and all the others that are giving us more kits than there is time. What a problem to have. My best you all. Jim

Jim, is this the orange and black car? If so I'm doomed again, that car is beautiful!

Yes, this is the Wetteroth Burd Piston Ring car owned by Lou Moore. I think it was red, black, and silver since these were the colors of Burd; at least that is what is on my decal sheet from Fred Cady. Michael has one too. Gary also said that he detailed the radiator since you can see it through the grill. His attention to the little things just seems to get better. Good luck with this one. By the way, this is not the same chassis as the 1941 winner which Gary says he is going to do too. Thanks for the interest. Let's keep Gary in business. Jim

Gary seems to be hard at work so I guess his kits are doing well. Anyone thinking of getting one should go for it, myself, racerbrown, and jamesharvey, among others will be glad to endorse his work. Thanks for the info guys!
