The pop of color is a great addition. The florescent colors always were striking to see when I get to watching IndyCars live.

Hey Calvin...hope you're feeling better soon. It's good to see you building. The car looks GREAT. What scale and kit is that?

WHO HAS THE WET TIRES? MIGHT BE A DUMB QUESTION BUT I'VE BEEN AWAY FROM BUILDING A WHILE. (I SEE IT'S A OLD POST,) THANKS The wet tires use a Firestone tread pattern. The wet tires came in all of the factory versions except for the Castrol Eagle, which is the only car kitted that ran Goodyear. So, 7 of the 8 version kitted from Revell have the wet tires as an option. All 8 versions came with slicks so the Firestone shod cars kitted have two sets of rubber (wets and slicks). Jordan

Thanks for the info and the quick reply.I have most of those kits but they are in storage and it's been awhile since I've looked at them. As you can see I've changed my avatar, and trying to post my first pic. I've just got a notebook w/ google chrome so I'm not sure how yet. The teams use wets for transport and anywhere they are not on the track, I thought I would model a simple diorama of that. Thank again

Tow tires aren't always wets. They are just whatever tires they happened to have laying around that Firestone didn't destroy. You don't own your tires, you rent them from Firestone essentially.

FYI, I found a green that is pretty good for this car - wish I had it when I did mine. Might end up re-doing mine. Only downside is it is the paint/primer which I know Calvin had issues with. It's Valspar Premium Finish with Micromist Spray, Gloss Luscious Green. It's not a 'perfect' Kool green, but it's the best I've found yet. I found it at Lowes and bought a can to to check it out. Can looks pretty much like this, but is labeled Premium Finish and says "Paint + Primer" where this can says "Easy Spray Technology"
