Ok, I am retired and feeling REAL FROGGY! ;D My #1 most favorite open wheel driver (#2 on the *overall list*) is Super Tex. I have his '61 and '64 winners covered.... next up is '67, then, down the road, '77. I understand that the '65 Lotus 1/25th scale kit is the closest thing to the Coyote out there besides the resin kits. Since I am not sure when the resin will be available (not a complaint! I am very impatient! LOL!!) and I like cutting up plastic, then I might want to tackle this conversion.......... any ideas, hints, tips, good or bad?? Regards, Mongo

I'd have thought that maybe a Lotus 29 is a better place to start, but with a 65 Lotus 38 engine.
I converted my 1/32 67 Coyote backwards into a Lotus 34.
Sorry I'm getting a little confusing. But the order was: Lotus 29, put the DOHC in and call it a 34, give car to AJ and he takes the basic car and mods it into a Coyote. the 1965 Lotus was never in the lineage and is a totally diferrent shape.
Hope this helps
Chris

I hate to disagree, but, to me, the 1967 Coyote looks a lot like the Lotus 38, and not at all like the two Lotus predecessors. The Lotus 29 and 34 were bathtub type monocoques, while the 38 was a full monocoque. The Coyote is a full monocoque, too. Plus the overall contours of the Coyote more closely resemble the 38, than the other Loti.
