I need your help. I'm new to this proboard but it's good to see that it's popular. Basically I need a lot of your knowledge to help me with my project. I'm comparing a 1990's car to a 2012 car in terms of the technology. So what things have changed on a car to help enhance the performance. Any website links or general knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers guys

I want to see what others think but comparing the early 90s to today should be the most interesting time to pick.
Since the early 90s had almost limitations in what they could do so we started seeing active suspensions, ABS brakes, traction control, pneumatic valvetrain, transmissions were either semi-automatic or fully automatic, engineers in the pits could transmit system changes to the car wirelessly during the race, etc. Not to mention the exotic metals that could be used. Mercedes (I think it was) had engine blocks made out of a substance that was pretty much toxic to the ppl that made it before it got banned in the 90's.
Today, there is a much higher level of electronics sophistication - just look at those steering wheels now! ;D Plus things like KERS and F-Ducts are interesting technologies. To help the racing, active suspensions, ABS brakes, wireless updates, and fully automatic transmissions are banned.

Obviously, the 2012's vehicle are far better than the 90's. The advancement of technology is the answer, from the spare parts to the specs there's a lot of difference between the two. Like racing cars, which are highly innovative and functional nowadays. Moreover, there has been a lot of excitement concerning a possible Formula One race in New Jersey in 2013, as the world's leading race series wants to make an American Gran Prix a regular fixture. However, the proposed F1 New Jersey occasion could be canceled. Are you trying to purchase or sell a new or used car? If this could be you, don’t go any place else before you go to Gus Johnson Ford. Want to know find out more about Gus Johnson Ford? Take a look at Gus Johnson Ford. I hope I satisfied your question.
