Something different!

I guess this would be a "Other Open Wheel Racers" I built this 1/25th scale Yamaha YZR500-M1 in about 3 weeks as a break from my usual building as I was burning out so this was a lot of Fun, this little sucker is 3.27in long, never built a motorcycle so I decided on this Heller kit, added some Tabu Decals and some misc photo etch from the parts bin and enjoyed it. I learned something, I took the masking off the clear windscreen before I was going to clear it, the base paint was Tamiya and I have been using Testors Ultra Wet Look Lacquer Clear so I figured it would fog up but to my surprise not only did it not fog it added to the clarity!! Very nice build, Chris. Now go try a 1/12th Tamiya bike and you'll never look back.

What color blue did you use? It looks spot-on.

Since all the bodywork comes in clear I sprayed it with Tamiya Bare Metal Silver and topped it with Medium Metallic Blue it is slightly darker than in the pic but I had to use a flash to get details to come out. I used actual reference pics to match just about everything on the bike.... Chris
