Hi Duane, Keep 'em coming! IMHO, there's no race car better looking than an Indy roadster. The "Kal Kustom" like paint jobs, the chrome and just the great shape of these cars. Did you get any photos of the blue Simoniz Spl sitting next to this car?

hey sandy, simonize special coming up next! duane So? Where is that Simoniz Spl set of pictures?? LOL!!!!!!!! Thanks for the pictures Duane. The Schmitt Spl looks like a fairly easy *shelf build* using the Monogram kit, some sandpaper and putty, and a drop tank form an aircraft kit for the oil tank! ;D Mongo

Rick - This one was easy - 1960 - bottom left of the first picture! I'm pretty sure the Simoniz #16 was from 1959.

This car was built by Wally Meskowski for Pete Schmidt of St. Louis and driven In 1960 by Bob Veith , Qual. 25th an finished 8th. in 1961 Veith and Jack Rounds tried to qual. but both missed the show, in 1962 this car was the Turtle Drilling Spl. driven by Chuck Arnold and missed the show, The story of this car was that after the 62 race the car an trailer were parked in a warehouse in St. Louis for about 25 to 30 years before it was sold and then restored as you see it now.
