Weird. You would think they would need a manufacturer or some other wealthy backer to do this. I'm with you Stu, quite puzzling!
Will be interesting to see if this sees the light of day or dies a quite death in the concrete jungle. Can someone make a better IndyCar engine? Maybe. But look at all the trouble John Judd has had trying to just keep up with HPD and Ilmor. Judd's got decades of experience, too.
Anyone heard anything else about this?

The company's name is Ayton Performance. aytonperformance.com/Sounds like it might be a subcontractor of Honda and others.

Subcontractor/tuner does make more sense. Only problem with working on the Honda engine is that HPD is on the west coast Jordan

Honda has a huge, technologically advanced, design, construction and parts manufacturing facility in Santa Clarita, Calif., they make, assemble and test every Indy Car engine there, They would have no reason to replace, its really quite something, I have no idea what this article is referring to!!! The Ca. facility is right across the street from Magic Mountain Theme Park, what more can you ask for?? I applied for a job and had to turn down an offer to work there when they first opened it. My health was turning bad right about then, but what a place, a Indy fans dream job!! Chris
