Aj Allmendinger released by Penske! I honestly did not see this one coming. Very sad for the kid but i hope he gets his act back together.

It's not shocking to me, I am sure the tight ship Roger runs has zero tolerance for abuse of banned substances. AJ Dun messed up, no sympathy from me. Maybe he will end up where he began, in Indycar. I would like to see that, It's not all doom & gloom for AJ.
Oh, and 23rd in points did not do him any favors either, now if he had a win or 2 under his belt this season, maybe things might have been different, big maybe.

I have watched AJ since his Lights days. Was so happy when he and Forsythe started setting the world on fire. Was disappointed to see him go to stockers but still rooted for him. This year was perfect for me - favorite team, favorite sponsor, and a driver I really liked. So, I'm really disappointed with the failed tests and firing - I don't think I will like the Shell driver next year as much as I did AJ What a waste! I like Sam but I don't want to see him in the #22. Jordan

Roger had no problem keeping Al Unser Jr. on board and running him through rehab at least once that I know about, in 1995 after the season. Perhaps he learned that lesson the hard way.

That tells me it was not something innocent like sudafed, or some otherwise legal substance.
