Does anyone have any pictures of the car? Andy Michner and Tyce Carlson tested the car while Dan Drinan did most of the driving in the car and also wrecked it on Saturday before bumpday. The car was all white and #36.

I know this isn't exactly what you want, but there are some crash photo's from the AP goo.gl/2K3apAlso, call the IMS Photo Shop. They will have plenty. I went through every bit of reference I have for 1996 and just don't have any photo's of this car since (I don't think) it ever made a qual attempt.

The car was slow and only reached a top lap of 214.3 the lap before Danny wrote the tub off. Very sad as those guys were really good guys and girls!

We had family friends involved in the team and in Bill Tempero's team so i have a place in my heart for those old Lola Buicks. Loophole's was a 91 Lola Buicks and Bill Tempero had a 1991 #25 for Joe Gosek and a 1992 #15 for Justin Bell.

So the car in these pix is a '91 lola, that was trying to qualify for the '96 500? Wow, a 5 yr old chassis and still 'relatively' competitive at that, 214MPH is slow for 1996 standards, but it's still a decent lap at the brickyard. Nasty crash too!

Regardless of what some say 1996 was the most exciting month of may IMO. Drivers and teams that never had a shot or had the proper chance had one and so many teams just showed up with a hope and they were one. The Brayton Buick v6 was the reason the 91,92, &93 Lola's had a fighting chance to make field.

I agree with you to a certain extent, 1996 was a good year. But there was just so much inexperience in that field, from drivers to pit crews. So many NO name drivers. Then again, the start of the 1996 'US 500' is a laughable joke as well. More so than the no names participating in the '96 Indy 500!

Okay, guys - I'm not going to censor anything at the moment because there is nothing really out of line but I've seen us get to this point in discussions before and it blow up. So, let's get back to the original point of the thread which is looking for modeling references. Not trying to bully anything - just don't want to dance in minefields.
