Sorry if this has been asked ad nauseum, but what is the proper shade of blue for the 1988 and 1989 Valvoline cars? It looks to be a deeper shade than a TS44. I'm also thinking that, outside of the box, I might be looking at a large can of Rustoleum or something close. Any help is appreciated.

Good question, it is very very close to a midnight blue in my opinion.

Check Ebay, there are a couple of sellers with Testors #6 Valvoline Blue from their Stock Car Colors from the late 1990's.

If you are using Tamiya, ts15 is the way to go.

I bought some "Dark Blue lacquer #2629" from Model Car World that seems really close to me. Good luck. Jim
