So, as I was watching the very entertaining Iowa race, while checking out Lance's amazing '81 Eagle I just had received, I was further struck by the similarities. Not like they designed the Dallara after the Eagle, but I find it interesting that one of the more beloved Indy cars has such similarity to one of the most berated Indy cars. Hmmm.
I suppose if there were other cars running that looked different, them we could enjoy the weirdness a little more.
My point is (oh, you have a point for a change?) that I am liking the DW12 more and more. A racy car is a good looking car, and the Dallara is racy. And some of the Eagle-like weirdness is growing on me.
Also, that Lance's Eagle is simply phenomenal. The casting is almost clean as an injection molded plastic model (and better than some) and the engineering is simply fantastic. It is engineered to not only look good but to be build-able. I saw Geoff Brabham drive this car at Riverside and wanted a model of it ever since.
Thanks Lance. We miss you here. MJ

I certainly see the resemblence too. as for the Eagle, I loved the Pepsi Challenger. one of my favorites. maybe one of these days I'll run across one of Lance's Eagle kits for $5 at a local garage sale. LOL
something I don't know about Lance? I know I'm new here but I thought I've seen him on here this past week or so. maybe I'm wrong. I think I DID see him in his driveway today.

MJ, I agree. Everything about Lance's Eagle is phenomenal. I have Bill J's 73 Eagle sitting in my work area, it's so cool to sit the two bodies side by side and see how the design of the Eagle progressed in 8 years.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply something about Lance's well being. He obviously continues to be alive, well and making some amazing resin. He had decided to leave the board a few months ago. If he has been back on since then I missed it and am happy to hear it. MJ
