Not 100 percent accurate, I got as close as I could using the Monogram Kurtis Kraft kits. Tire and car decals by Indycals ( I want to convey that there no problems with the decals at all, any wrinkles or cracks you see are my doing, as I use spray paint and my decal setting stuff has been on the shelf a long time). Paint was Valspar 85041 Gloss Cobalt Cannon for the 52/53 cars, and Valspar 85091 Satin Hunters White for the 1954 car. Cleared by Future floor wax. Most impressive, especially for starting with that kit and not one of the resin jobs! I don't recall seeing the '52 before. And that gray looks pretty spot on to my eye, now I'm thinking mine might be a touch on the dark side.

Nice job. I agree that yours is the first model of the 1952 car that I have seen. Thanks for doing it. I, like many others, have done the '53 and the '54 using Bill Jorgensen's kits. Good on you for converting the Mongram kits. Your dark gray looks just right. The lighter gray for the '54 car has been disputed for years even by those of us who actually saw the car. Thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate it.
To convert these to get them close to the real car ( they are not accurate, the suspension most noticable) I moved the fuel filler from the side of the head rest to top center. Moved the exhaust from the left to the right side, all that involved was flipping it over and cutting the needed hole on the right side.
Hoods were cleaned of the center molded in hinge and bulge on the stock kit, and the hole for the left side exhaust was filled. I used a pair of windshield braces from a Monogram Nascar Monte Carlo to fill those holes on the 1952/53 versions, giving me the 4 holes needed. The exposed ends on the 52 kits are some injector tubes that came from the spare parts bin, the holes on the 1953 car were blanked off from the back with a piece of foil.
I used a hood scoop from I think a GTX kit for the left side hood bulge on the 1954 car, the small cone shaped scoops on the left side are side mirrors from the parts bin cut down to fit.
The scoop in front of the windshield and on the lower left side are oil tank covers from a Monogram stock car. I got lucky in that I had 3 identical drag links in my parts bin the were a perfect fit for the steering, I don't know what kit they came from.
The noses gave me a big pain and I'm not happy with them, shortened them up and cut the hole in for the grille. The grilles are made of some resin pieces I one offed using soft modeler's clay for a temporary mold, the imprint was made using small washers threaded over a piece of rod. Painted them flat black, and added Pactra silver rc/tape over the front for the grille ribs. The stock kit starter shafts were saved off the noses and used. I also added a piece of sheet stock on the left side of the seat to mimic the "curtain" inside the real cars.
