Hi everybody. I've just dug out my 1970 Johnny Lightening special Jorgensen kit and have started cleaning up some of the parts. I have a question on the colors. I know that the 70 car was a lighter blue than the 71. What would be a good paint for each of the cars? I'm going to use a set of Lance Sellers tires on it. Where can I get Firestone tire decals for it? I have ordered some Shabo decals, but I don't know if they are the correct ones or not. Regards, H.W.

Hey Howard!!!!
I have been all over both Johnny Lighting Cars.....Parnelli owns both and they are beautiful!! The color is wierd.....It';s kind of a translucent blue. The 1970 car is my favorite of the two and I have some photos of both. Michael Portero had a GREAT photo of Al Sr. driving it at the Speedway.
Best to you
