having a mid life crisis and as such have decided to try my hand at open wheel modeling. Did a few as a kid, but nothing since then. Have a few 1:18 diecast models that would like to convert, so gonna need lots of help.
Living in New Zealand makes it hard to get open wheel models to start with. Just want to say this is an awesome site and have learnt much just from reading about the awesome builds you guys do. Love the cool photos.
Cant wait for Indy

Welcome, it's always nice when someone new joins the group. My all time favorite race team came out of New Zealand. The guys in the orange cars.

Hi tylajera, where abouts are you in NZ?
I am in NZ too, if I can help in any way my email address is in my profile. I am not too familiar with big diecasts, a plastic and resin user myself, but willing to help where I can.
John, we all loved the orange cars and team.
Gavin.

Hi Gavin Good to see someone else here from New Zealand. Im just down SH1 form you... Im in Hamilton... I'm gonna do some plastic models to get back into it again, I had never heard of resin kits until i discovered this site. Would love to try them. Hard to find open wheel models in New Zealand I am discovering. Might give you a bell and pick your brain one day. Angus

Sure thing, we also have an auto modelling club that meets every month in Manukau with some Hamiltonians that travel up most times. You would be very welcome to join us. Have a look in the latest Petrolhead paper.
Gavin.
