going to be at indy for pole day on the 19th planning to spend close to 2 hrs at the museum loading up my digital camera
any estimate on the crowd size? im thinking turn 4 and 1 as good vantage points any recommendations been to the track for one 500 and 2 f1 races but never qualifying any recommendations

If you go early, go to the top of Penthouse "E", the last several years they have let people go up to the spotters stand to take photos before practice begins.

I will also be going to Pole Day. I personally like to sit on the front inside straight away were the cars go through tech inspection. I have always sat there for years and years. Back in the day you would see all the celebrities and of course everyone yells at the drivers as they walk to their cars. Have a great day. It will be hard to top last years excitement. Than again it is Indy.

the sound on that motor cant be described this was a great day for me
the museum great qualifying parnelli and old calhoun

they just fired up Old Calhoun, PJ is running around in the '62 pole sitter. awesome. . It was great to see the 1963 winner lapping the Brickyard. One of my first. 500s was in 1963! |
