Craig: Man, it's looking great so far! I backed off this one because I didn't know how the color scheme and decals would come out. Looks to me like you've pulled it off quite nicely... I've used "jet exhaust" enamel or "exhaust" acrylic for years. I've learned to use gold as a highlight around the closest parts to the engine after seeing actual vintage cars up close. You can use a variety of shades with the gold. Lastly, I've tried transparent blue in tiny quantities with varying degrees of success. It seems simple, but the results can vary, especially if you overdo it... Kind regards, Tim

Thanks for sharing this. I do like this era. Isn't it interesting that even when Indy had open rules we still ended up with "spec" cars, the Watsons of the late '50s and early '60s, the Gurney Eagles of the late '60s and '70s, and the Marchs of the '80s. Times change but some things stay the same. This is a really interesting combination of colors, red and maroon. Duane is right that they really stand out. Please show us the rest of the way. Jim
