Can you just imagine if he would have been in one of the STP Turbines in "68. He was a one of the greatest who was gone way too soon!

Still remember the next day like it was yesterday. My mom woke me up for school and broke the news. I was dazed all day. So happy I got to see him race in '65.
In terms of talent, I personally think only Senna came close, but Jimmy was a better racer and a true gentleman.
Still have an ache in my heart from that day.

Jimmy was never my favorite driver, but one had to respect his driving prowess in any type of car. He could kick butt of any of the best drivers and proved his ability time and time again. That's why I have 3 of his cars in my collection. We hardly knew ye Jimmy! RIP Patrick

I grew up with Phil Hill, Jim Clark and Dan Gurney as my favorite drivers. They got me interested in F1 and Indy car racing. I remember the Sunday Jim Clark was killed like it was yesterday. A few weeks later and I was off to Viet Nam. Life was never the same. I have always believed that had Jim Clark lived, he would have driven Chassis 56-1, the car he tested and the car Joe Leonard put on the pole, in the 1968 Indy 500. It would have then been run under the control of Team Lotus and the fuel pump shaft would have been modified as Graham Hill’s car was. Jim Clark would have won the 1968 Indy 500.
He also would have been at least a three time F1 Champion as he would have won the 1968 F1 Championship.
