I think the superspeedway car looks good and sounds good! What say you?

Yep I was out there and the cars sound great! It seems people either love or hate the new cars but the more I see 'em, the better I like 'em!

Those turbo's sound sweet at Indy, and that rear wing is LOW.

I'm not sold on the look yet, but boy is it good to hear them come down the main straight sounding like they should. Thanks for the videos.

Still look real silly, but the sound is golden! The complaint of under steer from almost all the drivers from the first two races is a concern. Hearing Marco's description from that Indy test of the car in traffic is not good either. We want these cars to pass each other easily.
I am willing to bet that there will be major changes to the car if the straight line speed doesn't get up on ovals----Indy in particular.

Very interesting rear wing set-up. The end plates are now part of the rear wheel fairings with a fairly large gap between them and the wing. The wings also appeared to be nearly flat which means to me that they are more of a spoiler or trim tab than an actual wing. I would guess that it's the engineers that are having the most fun.

I wouldn't have noticed that. Good eye! On all of the artist renderings of this oval bodywork, they always had endplates on the rear wings. In this setup (without connected endplates) the effective downforce of the wing is reduced. Not to mention that they are nearly flat. Looks like the rear wind is nothing more than a trim device. The new undertray and bodywork must be generating a significant amount of downforce. Rusty

Marco's description of the cars behavior when he's alone versus in traffic sounds like a description given by a NA$CAR driver. UGH!
