Boring, fat  ? Too much bodywork?? When i saw Ryan Hunter Rey's car at Milwaukee last year it was like an instant flashback !! All i could see was Mike Mosely driving from the back of the pack to the win in the Pepsi Challenger !!!!!!!! Anybody else agree ? |

I also noticed that it looked like the bat mobile of the early 80's. If you took both cars and compared them side by side I wonder how close it is. Just goes to show you that whoever designed that chassis back in the 80's might have been way ahead of his time. Design was correct just not the technology for that car back than. I did not like the DW 12 at first but they do grow on you. I thought the racing at Indy was great and some of the street courses this year were really exciting which hasn't happened for a long time. Racing has changed people that keep complaing about how it was 40, 50 years ago step out of your bubble it is the year 2000 and beyond. Auto racing is a huge money market but they want cost to be down. There is not that much difference in Nascar or dare I say F-1 also. Don't reply back to this it is my thoughts and just leave it at that. Share your opinions but don't need to have negativity here. live with it.

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw them in pre-season testing. I thought of both the Batmobile and the Pepsi Eagle, which I saw race back in the day. I've grown to like it, but I really don't like the "spats" in front of the real wheels. Other than that, I like it. But I have to say, looking at how ugly race cars are now days (F1, Indy, ALMS, etc) I am enjoying the old fashioned, pure design (not to mention thunder) of sprint car racing. MJ |
