Way back in dreamtime...an Italian company named Polistil produced a Ferrari 312 B3/1973...the only problem was/is that it was too bloody short! I bashed one anyway and, of course, it looked too short! I dreamed of getting two of them and slicing and dicing them into a proper length. I sold the bashed model sometime in the late 80's and it came back to me a few years back with another body So finally... ...I used my Xacto razor saw to cut a clean line behind the radiator vents on one and measured the other body to lengthen the body... ...the wheels are from the "model"... So...now on to the engine! I used a Monogram Testa Rossa flat-12, but I had to modify the block because it has part of the transmission under it. I sliced it off and glued the bottom plate back on. ...add some bits and paint...presto! A racing flat-12 Ferrari... ...parts in place ready for assembly...next? Adjusting the damn thing together. I recently have been having a bear of a time with this step what with the ride height and getting the suspension squared. Patrick

Cool. Is that one of their 1/14th scale diecasts??? Or 1/26th scale?? I know they were never the scale Politoys said they were.

Tom et al,
Thanks for the encouragements. If I was going to assign a scale to it before my cuts then 1/26 might fit. but the WB is now at 1/25. Rear suspension should be done tonight.

Patrick, I also love the doodles on your work bench. "Brakes on B3 inside or outside" I do that all the time too! Helps you to not forget something and check your reference! Stu
