1/24th scale scratch built model of the C6 GP car from Avions Voisin. It was designed by Andre Lefevbre, the same guy who desined the Traction avant and the DS19 for Citroen. I have wanted a model of this car for ages due to it's historic importance as the first monocoque grand prix car, predating the lotus 25 by 40years! . . . .

Hope this is of interest to you guys. It was an interesting build utilising a card model kit, along with drawings and plans, to make the body out of a metal lithograph printing sheet. Have a strange feeling Ive posted this before but can't see it on the listings, apologies if I am duplicating myself.

I've had the paper model for years and never got around to building it. You have done an excellent job and done justice to a great design. Bravo! Patrick PS here's the site for the paper model... pierreg.free.fr/carton/projet/voisin/voisin.htm

Thanks guys. Kurzheck the blue car is the 1904 Panhard I posted last year. Both models went onto our local IPMS branch display at the Scale model World show in Telford, UK, where the club theme was Made in France. Patrick thanks for adding the link as I've lost it! The success of this build has opened up a whole new world of modelling options. I have recently come across some other French card model kits that have some really interesting subjects, not least a Serpollet steam record car. "Collection Shell berre" has 34 card models in the set. I've only managed to get images of 31 so far though. I may well have a few other unusual subjects in the years to come.

Thanks guys, glad you like it. only spent a month on it and it taught me lots of things. Making a body shell then putting everythin into it is a bit backwards to the usual car building methods.
