I am so jazzed! Most people come to California for vacation, but I go to the Midwest for mine. Looks like non-stop racing action as my cousin and I will hit some Wisconsin tracks before heading to Central Indiana for Sprint Week in July.
I made it clear I HAD to have close to a full day in the IMS Hall of Fame Museum. Chris's pics have me really pumped about that. Will probably do the cheesy tourist thing and do the bus ride around the track if they still do that.
So, being as the last time I was in Indiana I was 11 and there for the '65 500, can you locals give me some ideas of where I MUST go while there.
(Perhaps I should ask Little Al. He probably could tell me all the REALLY good places. I know, that was low.)
So pumped!! ;D

I can give you a good eating joint with LOTS of 500 memorabilia-Charlie Browns Pancake & Steak House. Located on the south end of Main Street in Speedway just south of the track. The walls are loaded with 500 photos and there are also two cases full of C-1 cars on display as well. Food and prices are really good too. Open from 6AM-8PM Mon.-Fri. and 6AM-2PM Sat.-Sun.
