Hello from Florida

I built model cars by the dozens as a kid, but got away from it when I started playing with the real thing. Now I'm retired (from working AND racing) I've gotten back to building a few models. Having grown up in central Indiana (moved to Florida 31 years ago), I have a natural attachment to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. I love the cars of the roadster era, so that's what I concentrate on.

Welcome! I love the roadsters, too. Just seems like real race cars ought to have the engine out front where the driver can see it.

I live in the thriving metropolis of Titusville. (For those of you who are not familiar with Florida geography, that's sarcasm. Titusville is a depressed area since the ending of the NASA space program.) I'm a retired school teacher and former stock car driver. My hobbies now include building models (of course), drawing, building hotrods, riding motorcycles, and building & racing electric cars (Electrathon America).
