Ok I admit it I'm lazy this was swiped from the Randy Ayers Nascar model forum and just edited it for here - original author was Bob Hanner How do i post in my post??If you don't have one already you will need to find an online host that allows "Hot linking" where you can store any pictures that you would like to post and where the board can access it. (You can not post pictures that are on your computers C: drive, the pictures must be hosted online) Most of our members have free hosting accounts from Fotki, Photobucket, or any number of other photo hosting services. I'm sure someone will chime in to this post with the best ones to use. refer to the photo hosts directions about how to upload your photo's to their server. A lot of Internet Service Providers (ISP's) also set aside a little bit of space (Usually 5 to 10 megs) for their subscribers to host a small personal webpage. Inquire with your provider to see if they offer this with your account. Once your pictures are online you can then post them for the rest of the board to see. On the posting page you will see a box with a framed photo (fourth button on the second row - to the right of the button with the globe and left of the button with the envelope) click this button once. You will get this: [/img] Click in the middle of those two brackets ][ and then enter the full URL of your picture - remember no spaces anywhere in link or between link and the tags Example [img]http://www.yourhostprovider.com/yourpicture.jpg[/img] When you hit the submit button your picture will be included in your post

Where do I find this IMG button? Wrencher. Bottom row (under the "S" with a line through it) 4th from the left. Just click that and this [/img][/color] appears. Then all you have to do is put the link address for your picture in between the ] HERE[ and you're set.

I got it to work once, but it doesn't seem to work all of the time. Wonder why? Wrencher.

As my Roman friends said..."Siempre trata!" You put a Weber back together? Well, this is as confusing, but you can do it ( Chris, If I did it by experimentation (and I'm older than you ) then you can...patience and one step at a time. I want to see more of the models you do! Patrick

The link is bad. This is what it should look like: (note that it is now an active link and if clicked will take you to the photo) images53.fotki.com/v1609/photos/6/1081966/8880709/1969slide392x270-vi.jpgOn Fotki, click on the photo you want to see, then click "share photo", then right click on the link under "Image URL for use on other sites:" and click "Copy to clipboard", then paste between the IMG tags in your post here.

Excellent, I have a great story on the Cox 206sp prototype, it was stolen from our home in about 1967, the police never found a trace... About 5 years ago a collector in Yorba Linda, which is where my Dad lives , called and said, John come over right away I bought something on Ebay you need to see, He went over and there it was in Mint condition just like the day it disappeared... The guy told my Dad he bought it for $30. on Ebay and he wanted my Dad to have it back. My Dad told him, knowing this guy is a big time Slot Car collector, You keep it but if you ever decide to sell it call me first!!!! I am still waiting for that call... Unbelivable almost 50 years and it was still in Mint condition... It belongs in the LASCM with the Chaparral 2D prototype but who knows what will happen.

Another question; how do you cut and paste from photobucket? Where is the "clipboard" feature on photobucket? I got the bad link routine.

Another question; how do you cut and paste from photobucket? Where is the "clipboard" feature on photobucket? I got the bad link routine. Under the photo you will see several links. Right click the "IMG Code" and then "copy". Then just paste it into your post. The good thing about Photobucket is that they include the [/IMG] tags so you don't even need to use the forums image button.

I have Photobucket. Can I just click "copy" IMG on the dropdown list then click "paste" here? That's what I do on other forums & ebay. Of course for ebay I use HTML.
Thanks

I had a hard time posting pictures at the beginning but this is what I do.
Click on the picture on your photobucket and copy the img code.
Double click on insert image above. Double click between the brackets, right click and paste. Hope this helps!

Stu All you have to do is just copy and paste the photobucket IMG code on here, you dont have to hit that picture button above The IMG code is already built into the photobucket. Just think of the [ IMG ] as the ON switch and [ / IMG ] as the off switch. You have to turn on the link and then turn it off to show the picture.

Will photo posting work with images from Facebook? I just tried it and got it to work in the preview mode. Copy the image link from FB, paste in the posting window, highlight the image link, and click the picture icon on here (between envelope and movie clapboard). Jordan

Haven't posted any photos for a while (several years). How do we post photos now. I will not be using photobucket again. Can someone please update photo posting? I suspect I am not alone. There are probably others in the same boat. Thanks Wrencher.
