I'm building this car for my Instructions that will be posting on my new website that I've been working on. This WIP will be just a feel for what people will need to know.......so please ask questions because it will help with making better instructions. The first steps with this resin kit are very straight forward, clean, sand and clean. This body can be clean with tire bleach, oven cleaner, or just dish washing soap.....but it needs to be cleaned and scuffed up with a new scratch pad. I'm using "paint friendly" mold release so that's why I'm emphasizing on the cleaning. But after the cleaning is done, its simple, test fit the following parts. Under tray/trans axle, cockpit, radiator inlets, Penske radiator exit plugs (optional) to get a feel of what they do and if any sanding is needed. After that just super glue them in. Then after the glue sets fill in the gaps with filler. (note I'm using a resin reject for my own personal use so thats why mine is not as good as what I send everyone else, I always get the junkers to build )

Take the time to sand down the body parts level with each other. It also helps to cut down your file to match the width of the tunnels. For deep gaps for larger areas, I always use automotive Bondo, just because it doesn't shrink, its a little messy but that doesn't matter, all that matters is filling in the gaps. I always use some thin styrene cut to the width of the tunnels for easier application.

Calvin, The upright on the left is for the rear, correct? What is the part on the right?

The upright on the left is for the rear, correct? What is the part on the right? Yep, there are actually a left and right rear. Its Kinda hard to tell before cleaning them up but how you can tell is by checking the tops because one side will have a radius and side will not....its hard to explain but once I get my instructions done it will be easier.

I didn't really want to bring this up, but I've been having some very bad heath problems in the last 2 weeks. I always pride myself that I always have good heath but not lately, which is terrible timing since I'm currently involved with the 84 March so much....but I cant help it, so I'm sorry I haven't responded to emails or wait list fokes faster. Dont worry about me, because I feel like I have a handle on my heath, which I have come to find out is food allergies. (wheat and Sugar)
So once I get a handle on my issues, I'll back at it with the 84 March!

Wow, sorry to hear that ,Calvin. I had noticed that lately you have not been very active here, I thought you were probably up to something. You take care of yourself, that's what is truly important. Maybe the rest of us can entertain you with our builds of your cars.

Along with the rest of the group I wish you a speedy recovery. I guess the biggest surprise for me is the fact that you actually took time to eat at all. Your pace of producing things makes me tired! Take care of yourself, we're all pulling for you.
