How do you remove the front wheels off the Green Light 1/18 Indy cars. I have removed the plastic cap but that's as far as I have got I don't want to force anything so I thought I would ask. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have the wheel cap off you can see the pin that holds the wheel on. Take your drill and drill in the center of the pin. The metal pin in very hard so you will not drill thru it. The purpose of drilling the center of the pin is to cause friction and heat the pin up. After drilling in the center of the pin for about 30 seconds, carefully grab the wheel and pull straight off. The wheel and pin will slide out. It takes a little practice and a steady hand but after the first couple it will be old hat for you.
Now, when you go to reassemble the plastic hole in the spindle will have closed back up and it will be hard to get the pin back in. What I do is drill the hole out a bit so the pin slides back in easily. I put a little super glue in the hole to keep the pin in. Just make sure you push the pin all the way back in or you will have loose wheels! ;D

I hold the point of my soldering iron in the center, same result...heat. If you get the plastic too hot it will melt the center & the hole will be too large for the pin then you're screwed.

I'm having the same issue with a 2016 Greenlight Indycar. Could you please explain what the wheel cap is?

It's the cap in the center of the wheel. It should break loose using your finger nail but be careful it doesn't fly away. You can lose it really easy.

I'm having the same issue with a 2016 Greenlight Indycar. Could you please explain what the wheel cap is? Still need help with this? I'm starting a new car and can snap a few pics on how I do it for you.

Take your thumbnail or the end of a wooden dowel & push down on the wheel nuts then you will see the screw holding the wheel on.

Thanks, guys! I really appreciate it. I'll give it a shot. I painted with the front wheels still on (before I got your responses) and nearly succeeded but it bled through my masking in a couple areas. Looks like I'll have to strip all the paint off and start over. This was my first attempt at airbrushing a car.
