They all look great! Not sure what versions to build. Maybe Interscope for Bill's kit and Pennzoil for Calvin's.

The Foyt looks great! Glad I didn't place my order yet so I can add these. Any possiboy way you would do some Rahal stuff for the 83C and 84C? I'd love to have the Red Roof and 7-Eleven. Nic

One thing to note! The Al Sr., Danny Ongais, and Foyt cars all raced on race day with the BBR spoked wheels. Just an FYI

I have some 1/18 C-1 BBS wheels if someone wants to make molds.

I have some 1/18 C-1 BBS wheels if someone wants to make molds. I've already done that & thanks. I must say it takes a good mold maker to limit the amount of flash to remove between the spokes.

Here's one more that should be ready: Are any of these in 1/18 or just resin & plastic?

Just to make it official, the first five sets are available. They WILL be available in 1/18 scale, but I need to do some test fitting first, it could be a couple of weeks, but I promise they will be available. www.indycals.net/decals/newestreleases.html

AWESOME! Michael, do you need a C1 March to size the 1/18th? I can help you if you do.

Michael, FYI...I am just finishing one of my 1/64th bodies in the Foyt livery and everything fits well. I'll post a pic tonight or tomorrow. I will be moving onto the Pennzoil next. GREAT Job!!! Question on the Unser Miller Time set. Every on-line photo I have found shows the Pennzoil logo in white horizontally on the rear engine cover. Will you be eventually working this into the sheet? Nope. Pennzoil was not on the car on race day. The Miller car changed nearly every day and it's VERY difficult to discern which is a race day pic, but one clue is on race day it had BBS wheels and no Pennzoil marking.

;D gotcha. Thanks, I was mostly going off the Speedway press photo. see attached. Last question. I will be ordering the Ongais and Junior decals soon. Can you give any hints on the upcoming liveries and an expected ready date so I can do one order? Or, are their availability later down the road? I guess that was two questions....

That qualifying photo is totally different than race day. That is basically the Pennzoil scheme with Miller colors/logos. They changed it to give the car it's own look by adding white to the top of the tub/engine cover and separating it from the red with a gold and white stripe. That was a very challenging sheet to do because the car did change so much virtually every day, but I was able to nail down the race day livery.
I do expect to have one more sheet coming, hopefully by tomorrow. There are more coming than that, but some of them are dependent on side pod mods from Calvin and others just aren't as far along in production.

Michael, agree about the changes in liveries on the Miller car. It was all over the place. Good to know about the other release. I'll wait a couple days before I make an order. Can't wait to see how the Coors Light livery will look like. Here is a tribute to Michael's decals, and how great they are even in the 1/64th scale! This is the not quite finished Foyt car. DON'T CLICK THIS PHOTO....Sized TOO large!Attachments:

Love the emmo decals, I like how Emmo laughs about it now-adays that his first ride at Indy in '84 was in a pink car, Dave Despain had a great interview with him while Emmo was at home in Florida on wind tunnel back in the fall.

Thanks Stu. I will definitely archive Ralph's photos. Here is a photo I found which appears to be a photo from the Speedway. Maybe from a practice or qualifying day??? I definitely shows the "GoodYear" on the engine cover opposed to the Pennzoil in other pics. Good to know. Attachments:

Possibly the ugliest livery in 1984. I LOVE IT! ;D Its such a strange scheme, but its so RIGHT! I love corny cars, it takes a real man to drive a car with a scheme like that! LOL So thats why I'm going to build it......to make myself feel like a real man. ;D Okay.....I'm starting to get a little strange now....I think the pink and lavender is getting to me?
